I have been losing sleep as I am desperately trying to get in my ebay internship application..this is the first "real" job i have applied for...cover letter, detailed resume ...everything...a cover letter is huge..it makes or breaks how interested the employer is..if he likes it..hell take a look at the resume..if not its no go. I truly think this is the field of work i want to pursue. but damn midterms r holding me back..hopefully ill submit it by friday..keep u updated

job front has been postponed indefinitly...ive come to conclusion i want to work on campus..on campus is what wil be best for me..and those jobs r full so im gonna wait till beginning of spring..besides finals r in 2 weeks..lates

Sigma Nu

well 4 weeks ago, the thought of being in a frat was nonexistent. past 3 years i really felt like the frat life wasnt the life for me. It is today that marks my induction into the fraternity life. However not officially, but i have accepted my bid..so the process begins.

This whole idea came into my head bout 3 weeks ago after seeing an ad in the paper saying that Sigma Nu fraternity was recolonizing and was looking for bright student leaders to begin the fraternity. I saw this as a great opportunity, yes for the social reasons, but for the life lessons..and as i said before..me and about 24 other men will build this fraternity from the ground up..the way that we want it to be. it is gonna be a great committment and will make lifelong friendships along the way and pick up this lacking davis city life.

I believe the following truly manifests my reason for joining:
"We are looking for outstanding men who want to get involved on campus, gain valuable leadership skills and training, develop themselves personally and professionally, create meaningful and lifelong relationships and get the most out of their collegiate experience. Well another week down, time is flying..like 3 weeks left of the quarter.

So i wanna make known this site i stumbled on last week. it is awesome..i recommend you all check it out. It is basically a sight of new ideas, whether real or just a dream..there r some real sweet creations..just a few:

Tomorrow i have a meeting with the Sigma Nu rep, and i will be hopefully pursuing job hirings. Also i will be submitting my resume to EBAY for a summer internship..looks promising...good night and stay classy

Follow and Feel

well this week started out shitty, no particular reason, just alot of work and things on my mind...its pretty much the weekend and the week ended pretty good. yesterday i got my midterm back from Microecon...with the curve i ended up getting a high B..which im very proud about..i was above the average by like 5 points so i was happy..not to take any credit away..but i usually am right on the average or below..tugh competition here at davis.

Today i had my second microbiology midterm(Natural history of infectious diseases)..i think i did pretty good on it..way better than the last test..this test was on Tuberculosis, bubonic plague, syphillis and cholera..interesting stuff huh.

Lastly..the past week or 2 i have been seeing ads in the paper for Sigma Nu fraternity. i knew that sigma nu didnt exist on campus and only new of it because my bro JR was a sigma nu at UCLA. ..sigma nu did exist at davis until 1991..and now it is making an effort to recolonize, meaning basically start a new fraternity from the ground up. and that is what caught my eye..i have the opportunity to be a starting member of a frat at davis that could be around for a couple hundred years. although i never double glanced at frat life the past 3 yrs, i think this could be a great experience. this is not only a chance to build a frat from scratch, but with the process i will learn things for future careers as far as leadership skills and other stuff.

this all came on me tonite when i got out of my midterm early and remembered ther was an interest meeting for EN. so i said what the hell and gave it a try...bout 12 other guysther and from what i heard, i think this is a change for something great..the goal is to get around 20-25 men to build this bad boy up..it is no easy process and will take some time.. i will say i am leaning towards it but it is no guarantee yet but is definitely something to think bout..let me hear ur thoughts on it..leave a comment or send me an electronic mail..night

Shallow Believer

well most of u that know me closely is that i love music. also i am really into some bands, one including my personal favorite The USED. liked these guys since i first heard them..around 6 yrs ago when i was with Big G. (greg). i have seen them live several times and have had the great opportunity to meet them 3 times. although they r rapidly transforming ther style from a raw, screaming type of band to a more pop rock sound i still enjoy ther music and will still rock out to ther heavy songs. today they released an EP with bonus tracks and some rare songs. its a pretty damn good cd. i dont know, just cuz ther probly my favorite band i thought it deserved a post..and the fact that i have little to write about these days

21st BDAY

So as you may or may not know..i celebrated 21 years of birth on Friday the 15. hard to believe, real hard ot believe..gettin old but still real young at the same time. so heres how the night went

The parentals decided to celbrate the occasion with a fabulous dinner in SF at Buca di Beppo, a fine italian restaraunt.. it was real nice, me, the parents, the bros and their girlfriends and Jeremiah (my roomate). Started it off with some great calamari and bruschetta, then came the gnochi, lemon chicken, pizza and green beans..with these i was cleansing my palette with some nice chianti vino and some good ole Samuel Adams. here r some pics from dinner


After a great and filling dinner we walked outside the restaurant and what is there waiting for me..but none other than a long stretch limousine. i was in disbelief, as i knew we would need a designated driver.but not in this type of style. it was a exciting shock..this idea was all collaborated by my bros..thats some love right ther. so we all hopped in the limo and dropped my parents off at their car..as (sorry mom and dad) but this was goin to be a kid night. from there we popped the champagne and the jager and started cruisin in the limo..this is wher we bar hopped around various bars in the city..from what i can remember bar life was great..obviously not the first due to my 5 month stay in a foreign country...but yea it was fun, and the rest of the night gets hazy and rough as u can imagine certain things take control after countless drinks r fed ur way..but hey ur only have a 21st bday once in a lifetime..
so it was a great night..had tons of fun and cant wait to hit up the bar life that awaits me..thanks to the parents for the dinner and love, jeremiah for comin out/the jager and the shots, and thanks to the brohans for the limo, beers and spirits/shots, and a damn good 21st bday.

Knowing nothing is better than knowing it all

well its been a rough day..and start to the week i guess. tonight marked r 4th consecutive intramural loss and a another poor, poor shooting display by yours truly. it also marks teh end of the season, yea thats right zero wins.. it was rough, sad basketball is over and its the 1st yr we havent made playoffs. anyhow, tmw i am goin in and registering for the ping pong tourney.

in addition, tmw I have my midterm in INTERMEDIATE MICROECONOMICS with emphasis in CALCULUS..ive been stressin bout this test for a good 2 weeks.and i can assure you, no matter how confident or how well i know this stuff, itll be a rough test...my professor in simple words is an idiot, and doesnt know how to teach the material. i am not setting my self up for failure but it is slight comforting knowing that the rest of the class is in the same boat as i am. this is my first core class for my major and have been told its one of the toughest. tmw will make or break my week..and it is hump day.

so yea i got that test 1st in the morning..the rest of the day is filled with classes till 7 but ther is time in ther to pursue my ever so long job hunt.

come tmw night, ill be smooth sailin..with the good probability of knowing a did bad on a test scratchin at the back of my head. but it should be a good 21st bday weekend.

also tonite marks the return of one of my favorite shows JERICHO...i will download it tmw and watch it..so im pumped...on another tv note..Prison Break is my favorite tv show to date..and keifer needs to get his act together to get 24 up and runnin again.

dont mind the random titles...i dont want to repeat titles just sayin "update" so every title where i dont have a good name to..i will just pick the name to some of my favorite songs..of course these there is some meanings behind the song names

weekend was good..lotta fun..been hittin up alot of the UC davis basketball games...there absolutely horrible and i disagree with many of the coachs calls and players he puts on teh court..but i do sympathize cuz hes not workin with much talent

the games r fun cuz they pass out tons of free stuff..ive acquired numerous free tshirts, ben and jerrys ice cream, redrum burgers, and candy during these games...

on another note...I have officially began production on my abroad movie..i have just scanned all my documents that i saved (ie: plane tix, museum tix, receipts, brochures) i will find a cool way to incorportate these into the movie..i have some real sweet ideas for the movie, but they will be a challenge so i hope i can make them happen. because of this, the movie i anticipate will take probly a month..but im pretty sure when its done..itll be top notch..my best creation to date..and who knows..i maybe could use it some day in a portfolio for a future job.

in regards to a job..im still hunting..really would love some cash..im gettin greedy cuz im searchin for the perfect job, but i need to realize it prob wont happen..also job search is tuff as schedule gets busy every week with midterms and such..i honestly hope i can find one by the end of the week. and even crazier..ill be 21 in 5 days..

lil update

so my intramural team had another dissapointing loss tonight...we have not won a game, and im not afraid to say it is mostly my fault..i like to think of myself as a go to player and i just have not been producin...i dont think i have ever been this bad at bball..im just in a real bad rut right now and its getting to me. but watever ther ims, im playin with friends and still having a lil fun

on the ipod front...after couple surgerys to ipods...i finially have a workin order one and couldnt be happier...it was great to block all that "diverse" noise out while i was headin to school today on the bus..and for that i started the day great.

on the job front, i unfortunately did not get the photographer job. i am not suprised, lil dissapointed but i knew ther would probly be someone better for the job, being as i have little photography knowledge. watever ill still be bustin out some good pix as i know i have a great creative eye...so yea in addition a massive job search is still on task..not sure what..but somethin that pays well and isnt to rough on my life.

other than that, im finally bout to get started on my FINAL STUDY ABROAD VIDEO...i have just Illegally downloaded my program software and am good to go..so hope to show u all, ive got some great cinematography ideas up my sleeve..bout to watch into the wild. night

IPOD GEEK

So heres the deal...all my ipods r broken in one way or another...hard drive, click wheel, etc....so ive set out to embark on takin these bad boys apart and interchanging the parts to maybe get the right parts in working order
heres what im dealin with

real frustrated with this....ive been tryin endless combos and i cannot get a fully functional drive...tired now, so i plan on finishin tmw...i think i know what to do..i jsut gotta go deeper and change the clickwhell hookup and everything should be good as butter.

hope u enjoyed my tech geek blog...but as far as im concerned, i think i can run off these ipods for the next 2 yrs, save myself some money and wait a bit longer as the ipods get better and better. niight

Superbowl 42

Well i called it all season that the Patriots would win the Superbowl...pretty surprising really...specially to lose to a team like the GIANTS..never been a fan of any of the Mannings..although Peytons commercials r pretty funny



I blame the loss on the inability to get Randy Moss to get the ball and the terrible pass protection by Patriots front line. That catch at the end of the game was remarkable




Well anyway,a new season is underway...and 9ers will be rebuildin once again, lets see how it works out
